IMAP, POP3 et NNTP

Cette extension est OBSOLÈTE et SÉPARÉE à partir de PHP 8.4.0.

Ces fonctions permettent d'utiliser le protocole IMAP, mais aussi les protocoles NNTP, POP3 et les boîtes aux lettres locales.

Cependant, il faut être prudent, car quelques fonctions IMAP ne fonctionnent pas correctement avec le protocole POP.

Avertissement

L'extension IMAP n'est pas sécurisée au niveau des threads ; elle ne doit pas être utilisée avec ZTS.

For all the people coming here praying for:

1) a dead-easy way to read MIME attachments, or
2) a dead-easy way to access POP3 folders

[EDIT BY danbrown AT php DOT net: Contains a bugfix by "mn26826" on 09-JUN-2010, which fixed the erroneous reference to $imap as the parameter passed to imap_mailboxmsginfo() within the user function pop3_stat().  This was intended to be $connection.]
